Vahli Dikri Yojana Gujarat 2023-24

The Vahli Dikri Yojana is a scheme launched by the Gujarat government in 2019 to empower the girl child and improve the girl child birth ratio in the state. The scheme will provide financial support to families with girl children so they may better afford to raise and educate their daughters. The scheme will break the mindset of the family of considering the girl child as a financial burden and encourage the family to welcome the girl child

The scheme provides an assistance amount of more than ₹ 1 lakh to the state for girls to get higher education and get married.

Objective of Vahali Dikri Yojana Gujarat 2023

The main objective of the Vahali Dikri Yojana Gujarat 2023 is to improve the girl child ratio in the state and promote girl education. The scheme provides financial assistance to the girl child in three phases:

Phase 1: Rs. 10,000 is given at the time of birth of the girl child.
Phase 2: Rs. 50,000 is given on completion of 18 years of age.
Phase 3: Rs. 50,000 is given on completion of graduation or equivalent education.
